Our thesis

Why we are building this

"Price transparency exists. Intelligent routing does not."

Imaging is 6 to 11 percent of medical spend, and most of it is mispriced. The same scan costs two to three times more at a hospital outpatient department than at a freestanding center down the road. Price transparency now exists. Intelligent routing does not.

Scan.com is the national imaging network that closes that gap. We contract with a nationwide network of imaging centers and radiologists, route patients to the right site of care, and coordinate clean claims, all on one contract. Any payer plugs in: employers, health plans, workers comp carriers, TPAs and partners.

The labs industry consolidated onto two sets of rails, Quest and Labcorp. Outpatient imaging has no equivalent yet. We are building it.

Our story

How we started

Scan.com was founded in the UK in 2017 by clinicians Dr Khalid Latief and Jasper Nissim, who saw first-hand how slow, opaque and frustrating it was for their patients to access diagnostic imaging.

They teamed up with Charlie Bullock, Oliver Knight and Joe Daniels to build something better. What started as connecting patients with unused imaging center capacity became the UK's largest marketplace for self-pay scans.

Today we are bringing that model to the United States and scaling it across every provider and payer type.
